One of our new Independent Relationship Managers was a client manager with a leading wealth management firm. By all measures, he was successful in his role. So, when he quit the firm and joined WELREX® to start his own independent business, it surprised most people.
On his part, this was a well-thought-out decision. He had found that many aspects of his role restricted by his employer’s policies. Also, the close client relationships he had forged during this time period were deemed to belong to the firm. So, he had little to show for the time and effort that he had invested over the last decade, apart from a monthly salary and annual bonus. The stiff targets that the firm set for him and his team had started to feel like a burden and were slowly beginning to undermine his commitment. To top it all, he also had to contend with unproductive and fairly ubiquitous bureaucracy and internal politics. In an attempt to retain his sanity and pursue his work on his own terms, he decided to quit his job and join WELREX®.
